Course overview
Every workplace carries some level of risk, and this course teaches you how to spot it, assess it and control it. You will cover common categories of workplace hazards such as physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial risks, along with the hierarchy of controls used to eliminate or reduce them.
Practical sessions cover how to carry out a basic hazard identification and risk assessment, investigate incidents, and put together simple safety procedures and signage appropriate for offices, workshops, warehouses and field sites. It is designed for supervisors, safety officers, HR staff and anyone responsible for the wellbeing of a team at work.
What will i learn?

- Explain the employer and employee responsibilities for workplace safety
- Investigate a workplace incident and recommend corrective action
