Course overview
This course builds on foundational occupational health and safety knowledge with more advanced topics: designing and running a formal safety management system, applying advanced hazard and risk assessment techniques in complex work environments, and using structured incident investigation methods that identify root causes rather than symptoms.
You will also study the regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations that apply to organisations with higher risk operations, and how to build a culture of safety that goes beyond minimum compliance. It is designed for safety officers, supervisors and managers who already have basic OHS knowledge and are moving into a more senior safety role.
